Games with SUP boards, surfboards or lilo ...
If you are planning some time out at the waterfront, there are great games with stand-up paddling boards or surfboards. The one or other game you can maybe carry through with a lilo as well. What I am offering you here are merely ideas. You are invited to come up with your own variations with whatever material is available to you. (SUP surfboards, air mattresses, inner tubes, ...)
The stand-up paddling (SUP) has become increasingly popular in recent years. The main reason, because it is an easy to learn gliding along the water. It’s its comfort which holds the charm. In this manner, the entire family can travel for kilometres along a calm river or lake.
As the name already suggests, you paddle the board standing up. This technique was initially taken over from the fishermen in Hawaii and Tahiti, who navigated their canoes in this way in the sea.
If you just have a little sense of balance, you will find that stand-up paddling is easier to learn than wind or wave surfing. In the beginning, you can even sit or kneel on the board until you have developed your sense of balance a bit better.
There are various boards that have their peculiarities depending on where you use them. From about 250 Euros you get suitable boards. For youth camps and reasons of space, the inflatable iSUP's have a definite advantage.
With only 2 -3 boards, maybe even with only 1 board, you can carry out some pretty good competitions. Maybe, when you are on a trip, you have the possibility to rent boards for a day to implement the following competitions as SUP Olympics. Kids at any time and any age love games in the water. This is no difference when you use stand-up paddling boards, surfboards, or if also air mattresses. With just a little bit of creativity, you will come up with your own games.
