Game description
Orienteering runs can be short or last for days. When organising an orienteering run the local conditions and possibilities are decisive. A few possibilities are given which are be quickly played during a station game
The group receives a sheet with orienteering exercises and a compass.
1. Run in a north westerly direction from the starting point until you come to a path.
2. Take 150 steps along this path to the right.
3. Here you will see some cliffs to the south. Run towards the larger middle cliff.
4. Exactly 30 steps from the cliff to the right you will find some treasure with a message for the next station.
Option
There are many possibilities for varying the instructions e.g. using a clock instead of a compass, building in different landmarks, taking map readings etc.
Judging
No direct scoring required because the time the group needs is a good enough judgement.
