Game description
The shovel spoon is an extremely ground-level game. Depending on what has been set before, the kids have to dig a hole in a certain size regarding depth and diameter or fill a bucket up with soil to a certain level. As soon as the start command sounds, all kids run off, armed with a tablespoon and start digging holes in the ground. The excavated soil goes straight into a bucket.
Option
Alternative: You can also use the game to promote math skills. For example, all kids take the spoon in the mouth and now start to dig a trench about 3m long and 50cm wide. Next, the trench is filled up with water. The objective is to estimate how much water is needed to fill the trench.
Judging
All estimations are written down. The kid coming closest to the correct amount of water wins. Or the one who first meets all the requirements.
