Game description
This is a game to be played in the snow. Groups of 4 participants and up can play. One player is the hunter; all others are ostriches. If you have ten players or more, you could also have two hunters. Rule of the thumb is, one hunter per ten ostriches. At the starting signal, all ostriches have to run away from the hunter quickly. The hunter on the other side has to try to catch an ostrich. If the ostrich realizes that the hunter is hot on his heels, all he needs to do is stop and stick his head in the snow. Then the hunter can’t catch him anymore. However, does the hunter catch an ostrich, they change roles, and the ostrich becomes the hunter.
